This is the revamped version of the R.O.T.M. (RiderOfTheMonth) from our first website!
We will be featuring up to 3 riders a month in this section who display great sportsmanship ON & OFF the track in the way they practice, train, race, etc.
This is a type of way for R5WaterXRacing to help them be able to use this honor bestowed upon them to show to their sponsors as well as potential sponsors that they have been given this award and its also another way for R5WX to help them promote themsleves to the public and to help them get what we ALL are after...EXPOSURE!!!

The Rider In The Spotlight to close out the year is...
Heath Hoekstra
Heath has been racing now for 2 yrs and is currently The Region 5 APBA Regional Champion in Novice Ski Stk after a hard fought season and a couple of injuries he battled thru he has come along way.
He has recently started a VERY rigorous training program that is NOT for the faint of heart as he is training in some the roughest and physically as well as mentally challenging conditions. He goes out and trains at area lakes when the winds are at the peak for absolute nuttiness!
He started his training regimen at The 9th annual Wicked Fast Performance Turkey Shoot Out and walked away with the 1st place prize, a 15lb Turkey! and the ride consisted of running directly across an area lake which was approx 18 miles round trip. The following weekend he went out to that same lake and ran across again but in an even further run of approx 25 miles round trip in 30+mph winds and 3-4 foot waves. He made the trek in approx 55mins and never gave up! That shows true dedication and mental toughness! His training doesnt stop there as he is getting ready for the 2010 season and his ultimate goal..2010 NATIONAL CHAMPION!!!!
