Well its 1 week away from possibly one of the biggest races of the year in the U.S.A. and R5!!
1st off R5WaterXRacing would like to congratulate Todd Cossetti and His Wife Kimberly on their 1st born Baby girl!!!
She was born 6/23/11 at about 10pm weighing 7lb 7oz and 19 1/4 inches long!
Todd is one of R5's top Ski limited racers and is the current 2010 Intermediate Ski Ltd Regional Champion and is currently tied for 1st for the 2011 championship.
Congrats and can’t wait to see the new addition.
The entries are steadily coming in and the phone is ringin like crazy with possible beginners asking all sorts of questions wanting to get in on the action here in the Dallas, TX area. Dallas seems to be a hotbed for new ski talent as of late and 2012 is looking VERY good!
Rds 7&8 will be held in Lake Dallas, TX at Willow Grove Park this year for The July 4th race action. It will be the R5WX Regional Finals and IJSBA SPRINT Nationals. We will be offering a $4,000.00+50% PRO CASH PAYOUT minimum with possibly a few surprises too.
SPRINT racers will receive the normal 50% Payback for Rds 7&8 and the PRO CASH Payout for the National Title Top 3 Payout.

The "Fastest Lap Contest" will be $10.00 Per person with a winner taking 75% payout of the OVERALL POT!!! The Fastest lap will take place at the conclusion of Saturdays racing before the "Anything That Floats Race"

The City of Lake Dallas and The Lake Dallas Waterfest have really stepped up and helped with the upcoming races and waterfest and the city as well as surrounding cities are a buzz with the excitement of this weekend. Everywhere we have been on the Lake everyone is talking about it. This is looking like its going to be a HUGE turnout with spectators, and with it being the Regional Finals there will be some GREAT racing as several classes are seperated by less than 10pts. The racers are hungry and want that BLING BLING. SO LETS GET IT ON!!!!!!!!!
All racers will recieve 1 parking pass and 1 racer armband and 2 crew armbands. Any parking passes needed after that will be $5.00 as well as pit passes. You can pick all of these items up at regsitration on Friday afternoon.
Dont forget that we will once again be holding open practice on Friday afternoon. We will also be holding the Beginner/Junior Intro class on friday night on the water.
All race trailers and RV's longer than 30' will be put in the upper concrete parking area which is approx 150yds from the waters edge. There will be R5 Staff there to guide you and park you. If you have not gotten a RV spot with hookups you will be in the Primitive camping area and there will be desiganted signs as well as R5 staff to point you in the proper direction.
The tracks are below for your viewing and the Endurance Track might change a tad but its guranteed to be interesting. So please print them out and study them.
Also included is the race day schedule for you tp print out.

On July 3-4th 2010 TOP Racers from across the United States will once again converge on TEXAS and R5 for rounds 5&6 of The R5WaterXRacing Tour to take a shot at claiming thier titles for the 3rd annual R5WaterXRacing Liberty by The Lake Water-X Championships brought to you by SEA-DOO BRP and The City of The Colony, There will be LOTS of WORLD as well as NATIONAL Champions on hand for auotgraphs and photo ops. This WILL BE the race NOT TO MISS of 2010 AGAIN!!!!
This race is in conjunction with The City of The Colony Liberty By The Lake Festival. Last year we had over 5,000 people come thru to watch us Race on July 4th!! This year WE ARE RACING ON JULY 3-4th!!!! Its TIME TO SHOW THEM WHAT YOU GOT!!!!
The weekend all starts off on Friday afternoon as we will be having a racers welcoming party and also a BEGINNER and JUNIOR instruction class from 6pm to 7:30pm at the race site.
Saturday YOU MUST BE IN THE PARK NO LATER THAN 7AM & from 8:30am to 9:30 am there will be an open practice and course orientation with the riders meeting at 10:00am with the racing action starting at 11am and will conclude with the HIGHLY TALKED ABOUT City of The Colony Fireworks Presentation set right in front of the racers approx 150 yards away as ALL THE RACERS get a FRONT ROW SEAT to the BEST fireworks show you will see in a long time!
After the moto 1's of CC we will run Moto 1's of The IJSBA Endurance Nationals right after a short 30 minute break then we will get right back into the CC racing action with the moto 2's of CC. The IJSBA Endurance Nationals is a new addition this year and there will be OFFICIAL IJSBA National Championship Titles and number plates given to the TOP 5 in each class. The Endurance Nationals will consist of 2 motos with a combined score for the weekend. This also counts for the Rds 5&6 of The 2010 R5WX Endurance Tour.
Sunday we will continue the racing action at 10am with lots of FUN & GAMES! There will be PRO-RA OPEN & PRO-SKI GP TOP payouts as well as SPORT SPEC TOP Payouts associated with these two rounds. Please see below for the payout structure and requirements.

R5WaterXRacing is pleased to announce that we have finalized the race site for Rds 7&8 of The 2010 R5WaterXRacing Tour.
Rds 7&8 of The 2010 R5WaterXRacing Tour Regional Finals will be held in Lake Dallas, TX Sept 11-12th 2010 at The Lake Dallas Waterfest at Willow Grove Park on Beautiful Lake Lewisville. This is the same lake that the July 4th Liberty by The Lake Race is being held. The City of Lake Dallas showed MUCH interest in having R5 hold a race there when many uncertainties arose as they needed a event to take place during the Lake Dallas Waterfest. In turn R5 had been looking for a Regional Finals race site that would be a TOP quality site for the racers as they prepare to head to The 2010 IJSBA World Finals.
Lake Dallas agreed on the sponsorship of $3,000.00 and asked that all of that money go straight to payouts...As we do in R5 we said NO PROBLEM!! So the minimum payout for this race is set at $3,000.00 with the break down being released in the next week.
On Sunday after the races we will head over to The Point restaurant to hold the regional finals awards and small after party.
This race will also be the regional finals for the R5 Endurance series as well and we will be naming the 2010 Rider Of The Year.

R5WaterXRacing is VERY pleased to announce and release the payouts for Rds 3&4 of The 2010 R5WaterXRacing Tour held on June 19th & 20th in Madisonville, TX on beautiful Lake Madison brought to you by The City of Madisonville and The Madisonville Fire Dept and sponsored by Sea-Doo BRP.

Well Rds 1&2 are in the record books and it was just that...one for the record books with lots of beginners and some great racing with great rider numbers.
Rds 3&4 are just around the corner and we at R5WX are pleased to announce your payout structures for Rds 3&4. We have had to adjust the payouts just a tad as we have restructured the payouts to reflect a more balanced structure, these are MINIMUM payouts and could rise by race weekend. This is THE race before the biggest race of the year which is The July 4th Race on July 4th weekend in The Colony, TX
Payout Structures Per day:
$300.00 Per day Top 3 Payout +50% (Minimum of 4 to payout full amount)
Pro R/A Open Closed Course
1st Place= $150.00 +50%
2nd Place= $90.00 +50%
3rd Place= $60.00 +50%
$300.00 Per day Top 3 Payout +50% (Minimum of 4 to payout full amount)
Pro Ski GP Closed Course
1st Place= $150.00 +50%
2nd Place= $90.00 +50%
3rd Place= $60.00 +50%
$250.00 Per day Top 3 Payout +50% (Minimum of 4 to payout full amount)
Sport Spec Closed Course
1st Place= $125.00 +50%
2nd Place= $75.00 +50%
3rd Place= $50.00 +50%
$150.00 Per day Top 3 Payout +50% (Minimum of 3 to payout full amount)
Pro R/A Open Endurance
1st Place= $75.00 +50%
2nd Place= $45.00 +50%
3rd Place= $30.00+50%

Note that there must be a minimum of 4 racers in each "Premier" class in order to qualify for the Total cash payout, If there are less than 4 racers in the Closed Course class and a minimum of 3 in Endurance ONLY 50% payback will be paid. Payouts are subject to INCREASE at anytime, Final payouts will be posted on pit board on race weekend! Premier classes are defined as those that are payout type classes and reserved & designed for those who hold a Expert & or Pro card. ALL RACERS MUST BE A IJSBA MEMBER. You can purchase your IJSAB membership here www.ijsba.com or at the race site.
Gate fees will be implemented at the cost of $10.00 per person per day or $15.00 for the weekend. ALL racers will receive one racer armband with 1 holder and 1 mechanic armband. All armbands needed after that will need to be purchased. NO ONE will be allowed on the race site without an armband. ALL gate fees will benefit The Madisonville Fire Dept!
NO ALCHOHOL will be allowed in the hot pit area during the race day, There will be random checks of containers throughout the day. If alcohol is found you will be removed from the premises.
R5WX will be implementing the Equalizer buoy this year to reduce the risk of danger when a buoy is missed. It will be BLACK!
The endurance racing for R5WX this year will be in full swing for 2010 so be sure you get you entries in ASAP! We have an ALL NEW format this year.

Region 5 has lost a racer...
We regret to inform the racing community that fellow Region 5 Woman Runabout Racer Rochell Kristan Colby was killed in a plane crash yesterday at Lewisville Lake in The Colony, TX. Reports say that the plane was supposedly doing touch and Gos on the water as the plane was a "Sea-Plane" and Rochelle had been going for her pilots license at the time. Rochelle had raced with us here in Region 5 for 3-4 yrs and had recently taken a lay off from racing. She was one of the top women in Region 5 and she willbe missed. She was still learning the ropes of competitve racing and had hoped to return to the track soon. Rochelle was one of the 1st women in several years that raced full time that raced her 1st Pro-Am R/A Stk race and beat allthe guys which she always talked about. It was one of the coolest races to watch as she battled with some of the best that day on Lake Texoma.
Our hearts and Prayers go out to her family and we know she will be on the track for good with us now where she loved to be and she passed doinf what her passion was all about...ADVENTURE!

R5WaterXRacing is VERY pleased to announce that The Trevizo Family and PEAK Powersports has signed with R5WaterXRacing to give $1,000.00 towards the overall payout for The R5WaterXRacing Rds 5&6 Waterworks Repair Liberty by The Lake Challenge being held on July 3-4th 2010!
With this donation of 1g it helps bring us closer to our goal of an $8,000.00 Payout being sought after and we are diligently working to finalize a few more contracts before the end of 2009. Stay tuned to www.r5waterxracing.net as wellas right here on this thread as we add money to this huge event!

This just in!!!
Ben Holcomb of Waterworks Repair has just added $1,000.00 to the over all payouts for The July 4th race with possibly more to be added by end of next week! We had a VERY productive meeting today and we feel that with Waterworks Repair coming back for a 3rd year now in being a sponsor for the July 4th race it really shows the commitment to these racers and companies within our sport has not diminished.
